USA Softball of VA, Inc began working with Henrico County in 2017. Since that time that has become a partnership between USA Softball of VA, Inc and Henrico County. We have worked together to not only provide quality softball events to the teams in Virginia but teams from all over the country. Both parties have a vested interest in attracting both out of town teams and local teams to Henrico County for Sports Tourism.

The constant communication that Henrico County has with us year round is one of the many examples of how we are working together to provide a wonderful experience for all. The facilities and staff that works at these facilities has always been not only top in the Commonwealth of Virginia but in the country.

In July of 2022 the hard work and dedication that Henrico County has placed on youth fastpitch softball was rewarded with USA Softball’s top tier National Championship being awarded to them by a voting council of 300 members. The USA Softball 12U Girls Fastpitch Class A National Championship was held in Henrico County from July 19-24, 2022. Evaluations were completed by USA Softball National Staff Representatives from Oklahoma City concerning this tournament. The ratings revealed that Henrico County was one of the top tournament hosts in the nation. At the USA Softball Council Meeting held in Shreveport, LA on November 12-16, 2022 Henrico County was presented with the 2022 James Farrell Award of Excellence that recognizes localities that do an outstanding job of hosting USA Softball National Championship Finals.
