DESCRIPTION:           \nThe Holiday Cheer & Gear Donation Drive\, presented by the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority\, is back this year at the Henrico Sports & Events Center.\n\n\n  \n\nFriday\, December 6\, from 12-1pm and 3-6pm at the Henrico Sports & Events Center\, 1 All Star Boulevard\, Glen Allen\, VA\, 23059\nSaturday\, December 7\, from 12-2pm at the Christmas Center\nSunday\, December 8\, from 11:30am – 1:30pm at the Henrico Sports & Events Center\, 1 All Star Boulevard\, Glen Allen\, VA\, 23059\n\nWhile toys and presents each year are being donated and distributed to young children throughout Greater Richmond – the Salvation Army noted that here was a lack of gifts for boys and girls ages 10 to 16. Holiday Cheer & Gear was created to focus on collecting new sporting goods to deliver to that neglected group of young boys and girls.\n\nOver the years\, hundreds of sports “gear” items have been collected\, benefiting local teenagers\, who in the past would not have received any presents on Christmas Day\, now have gifts to open along with their younger siblings and parents.\n\nHoliday Cheer & Gear gladly accepts new\, unwrapped sporting goods\, equipment and gear.\nA list of appropriate items includes:\n• Basketballs / Soccer balls / Football / Volleyballs / Skateboards\n• Baseballs\, Baseball bats & gloves / Tennis balls \nHoliday Cheer & Gear also accepts cash donations to purchase new sports equipment for Cheer & Gear.\n  \nMake a donation and receive a promotional voucher for the December 8th Cheer & Gear Classic\, featuring the University of Richmond Spiders\, and the upcoming Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship at the Henrico Sports & Events Center in March!
